8 Tips For Making Your Articles SEO Worthy
by fts-ar on Nov.04, 2010, under Web Secret Tips
Writing articles online is still one of the best ways of generating traffic online. Those who have mastered this form of marketing can attest to the power of writing articles.
For some, however, it might as well be Chinese arithmetic. When they finally get the creative juices flowing, they are faced with an even more daunting task: making their articles SEO friendly.
Unfortunately, a lot of online marketers give up in frustration because they spend hours creating unique content only to have search engines completely ignore it. This results in a lack of traffic to their site, and eventually to them giving up.
What most of these people fail to realize is that just a few minor tweaks could make all the difference.
Here are 8 tips for writing articles SEO articles :
1. Make sure your content is unique. There is nothing search engines hate more than duplicate content. Researching your topic by reading other articles on the subject is a great way to get ideas, but re-publishing an article word-for-word is a no-no. Even if you’re given permission to use another’s article in this manner, simply copying and pasting the article as originally written will be frowned upon by search engines. Taking bits and pieces from an article and writing it in your own unique perspective is the recommended approach.
2. Use numbers or bullets to break up information. Search engines love information that is broken up in this fashion. It helps readers to disseminate and follow the main points of the article. For example, bullet or number the main points as I’ve done with this article.
3. Don’t make your articles too short or too long. Opinions vary on what the ideal length of an article should be. As a rule, 400 – 1500 words works best. The key is providing the reader the intended information without them feeling they’ve just read a novel to obtain it. Those looking for info online want it to be concise and to the point – yet thorough.
4. Keep the paragraphs short. Large, run-on paragraphs often look unattractive and can be tough to read. People online generally have short attention spans and long drawn out paragraphs will have them quickly moving on to the next article on the subject matter. Why spend time reading an article that’s jumbled, hard to follow and confusing when there are thousands more readily available on the same topic?
5. Keep the links to a minimum. We’ve all heard how critical building backlinks is, right? Unfortunately, some take this overboard and turn their articles into nothing more than a link farm. Not only does it look unsightly and “spammy” to readers, the major search engines don’t care for this tactic either. Keep the self-serving links to 2 or 3 within the body of the article.
6. Proofread, proofread, proofread. Know one expects the typical person using articles to market online to write like an English professor, but going over your article several times – checking for spelling and grammatical errors should go without saying. You’re trying to convey expertise and knowledge to your reader and nothing destroys that quicker than sloppy writing.
7. Use keywords in your title. This is another practice search engines love. If at all possible, use one of the keywords or keyword phrases you’re trying rank for in the title of your article.
8. Use free online resources for writing articles. The Internet is filled with useful tools and resources on writing articles to market online. Use some of these available resources to enhance your knowledge in article marketing.
These are but a article marketing tips, but making use of these simple practices will get the most out of your article marketing efforts.

So, I hope I understand you correctly. But to be honest I’m just not too sure that it’s something I really want to try. Seems a bit risky. Lol I’m kind of a big scaredy cat.
